Dr. Manahil Riaz is a Licensed Professional Counselor-Supervisor and the founder of Riaz Counseling in Houston, Texas. She specializes in trauma therapy (EMDR-trained), parenting strategies, relationship counseling, and navigating life transitions. She continues to see clients but is now increasingly focused on mentoring the next generation of counselors. As an educator, Dr. Riaz partners with several Houston-based universities to mentor future therapists pursuing their master's degrees. She also engages in speaking events that bring mental health conversations to unconventional and often overlooked spaces. Dr. Riaz is passionate about breaking down the stigma around mental health, she is committed to fostering open and meaningful conversations.
In her free time, she loves being with her large family, spending time in nature, and baking.
